We have well water, and it just taste awful, we have a filter for it, but it doesn’t seem to really work. We have a DuPont water filter, not a Brita or a Pur, should we change our filter or should we just buy bottled water? Is it cheaper in the long run to use a filter or buy bottled water, and when I say bottled water, I’m not talking about the expensive brands like Aquafina or Dasani, just regular generic bottled water from a grocery store.
Our well water smells and taste like rotting eggs because of the sulphur, it’s so bad, it stains the tub, toilet, sink, everything. I’m fine with using it for cooking, because it gets boiled, but if it stains everything, that’s probably not good to have in your body.

Both my shih tzus have watery eyes and it stains the fur and skin under their eyes..it also smells and we have to wash it frequently..Someone told us to use distilled water, but I’m not sure it is safe for everyday, or if it will make a difference.

Is there any way, other than replacing the liner, to remove algea stains from the bottom of an above ground pool? The water is clean and the pool is free of algea, yet the liner has been stained from previous exposure to algea.

So my family is building a lake cabin and my Dad asked me to figure out the well water filtering system.
None of us know much about filters for water, but he’s thinking he wants two filters. One is for the high iron concentrations, because there’s a lot of iron and other metals in the water, and we of course don’t want that because it stains everything a reddish color. As for the second filter, it would just be to filter out any bacterial and viral things, or anything else harmful in the water.
He roughly estimated it would probably be around ,000 and I’m guessing that as long as it’s not too high of a price, we can afford it.
But I’m wondering where to start with this, like, which filters should I be looking at ? Which ones will work better for our requirements ? Which would be too expensive ? Are there any that can do what I specifically what I want ?
It would be great if I could get some help.
