My current PH is about 8.4 (that is how it comes out of the tap) would a live plant bring it down alot and would doing weekly water changes keep the PH about where it is now?
I also have some cuttlebone in the tank for snails if that matters any.

I heard that drinking water out of plastic bottles causes cancer.
www.kleankanteen.com
My friend has one. She puts water in a filter container thing (the kind that you put the water in, and it filters through it), and drinks that.
But I’m curious to know where I should get the water I put in the filter. From the tap or from the bottles of water. I have well water (which I use to refill my water jugs), so can I just filter that??

which side does the shower head pipe go…and which side for the mixer/faucet/tap…
when i put the mixer pipe on the left where the red button is and shower on the other side(according to diagram on box) the water pressure is very little…
when i put shower on left and tap/mixer on right water pressure is fine….
please tell me how you use it….
and what is the red button for…?
thanks
Hi..thanks for replying…
i was looking at the filter cartridge inside the housing and it seems to me that a filter should filter water no matter which side the water entered and left from, top or bottom.. correct …??
the right side goes to the inlet on the top, through the cartridge and filters out at the bottom and then into the surrounding capsule … and the left side gets its feed from the surrounding capsule which then goes to the shower head….
this configuration allows good water presssure unlike the reverse configuration, the one illustrated on the carton/box…
the reverse config seems a little unlikely, where it has to push water up the filter…
also…the way to recharge it is to pass salt through it,from the top….so i figured that even for normal operation, the inlet to the filter cartridge would be the top…

Sometimes when I turn on my tap, the water is a little yellowish, and the toilet bowls fill up with yellowish water too. Why?
I contacted my water management system, and they gave me a few things to try. The one that seemed to work was pushing the bypass button on my water softener. He said that even if the water softener wasn’t in use, the water still went through it, and eventually the chlorine would build up so bad it would start interacting with the water and turn in yellow. Interesting.

I don’t buy bottled water any more, so instead of drinking straight from the tap i’d like to know more about the least expensive way to make my water safer.

It feels so foreign to me to drink water straight from my kitchen faucet. My mom boils AND filters our water every day. I am having trouble getting my 8 glasses a day because the fridge I have at home does not have the water part and I use to have that in my old house and I use to drink like almost 2 gallons a day. My skin was perfect and I had an easier time maintaining my weight. Now that I don’t have that fridge, I probably drink 2-3 glasses of pure water a day! is it okay if I start drinking from the tap? My skin is still clear mostly but I have small blemishes and it just does not glow the same, and my weight has fluctuated. Let me know. The water website for my county goes over the filtration system and its pretty impressive but I am so unsure since I was not raised to drink water this way.

I have a refrigerator with a water filter built in to the line for the tap on the front of the freezer door. I change the filter every now and then but not nearly at the recommended rate (every 6 months). If I continue to drink out of the filter after it is full of gunk, does it deposit everything it has collected into the already dirty water flowing through it?

Gas in my country has just hit .00 a litre. Bottled water is free from the tap but people buy it in bottles for .50 a litre. Then they complain to me about gas prices while they are drinking it. Are people that stupid?

I am currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and am moving into a new condominium. I am used to getting my drinking water delivered by Waterku. However they recommended that I buy from them a WaterPot/filter, which includes a Ceramic filter, filter cartridge (sand, carbon), a mineral stone and a Magnetic tap. Would this be enough to ensure that my drinking water is safe to drink?

I think for me, it doesn’t matter. I will drink both. Admittedly, I DO drink spring water more. If something bad should happen because I drink water from the tap, then so be it. I mean, what were we doing when spring water wasn’t as available to us as it is now? I will drink both. What about you?

I am interested to know the effects of ozonating water from the tap; specifically how ozonation will effect fluoride in the water, and whether ozonation will neutralize fluoride.

is it like water from the tap or something.
My mechanic said i should put distilled water in my battery in the cells but don’t overfull it.
My car has been having recent battery problems. Today when i started it barely sounded like it wanted to crank, like it sound so weak. I a got a jump start and it instantly cranked and started. So my mechanic tested my battery and say its need destile water in the battery cell.
So what is destille water?
