I recently put in a new toilet and had the lines off to it. I’m not getting good water flow to the toilet from the supply line. It will have a burst of water then run slow. All other water in the house works fine. I think there is something in the water line in the walls. How do I go about cleaning them?

I have a Kitchen Aid Fridge. About 4 years old. All of a sudden the water dispenser has started acting weird. The ice maker works fine, but the water dispenser only dispenses 1 cup of water at a time. I have changed the filter to no avail. Any Ideas?
Update:
Thank you all who answered.
I have checked water line — no gunk or frozen ice. When I push the water switch on the door I get about 1 cup of water (roughly) then water cuts out, as if the power is cut off. Then no water for next few hours. Then few hours later again I can dispense about 1 cup of water before it cuts off again. I can do this repeatedly. I suspect it is the solenoid getting hot and cutting off — can you tell me if it is a DIY item?
Thanks Again for helping!!

Are outside faucets typically fed straight from the outside main water line? I recently had a water softener installed and I am wondering if the outside faucets are getting the softened water. I don’t want to damage/kill my lawn and plants.
I’m 99% sure that water from the outside faucet in the front isn’t treated. But I am wondering about the one in the back yard.
Is there a way to test the water?

I have a new auger bucket (January) . My Freezer is completely empty of all foods, I replaced the water line (December) below the vegetable bin in the Refrigerator. I just had a Culligan 2-stage water filtration system installed on the water line going into the refrigerator.
The water coming out of the spout tastes fine. When I make ice cubes from the RO unit at the sink the ice tastes fine. The ice coming from the ice maker though still tastes bad almost like a penicillin taste especially when the ice thaws in a glass of water. Any ideas?

When I try to get a glass of water the water drips out around the nozzle and down the door but not out of the hole where it used to. I’ve removed the face plate and dispenser unit to see that the water line is sitting about an inch away from the actual dispenser. I’m assuming it should be sitting within the hole in the dispenser unit but when I try to pull the water line to reconnect it it won’t move. Does anyone know how to fix this?

House is 4700 sf

I just got a Whirlpool 21.7 ED2GVEXVD (http://bit.ly/93Nkrq) yesterday and I connected the water
line but the water dispensder doesn’t work. It makes no sound when I hit the button, but the ice
dispenser makes the noise…just its still making ice. But whats wrong with the water dispenser?
No noise and no dispensing? The water filter is in and and everything is connected I believe.
I have a replacement coming tomorrow but I want to try and fix the problem if i can.

Sorry, this sounds so lame but I can’t find a shut off anywhere. I’m thinking I may just have to shut off the main water line and let the hot water drain. Any safe ideals how I can accomplish this without having to shut down the entire water line to the house or take the wall out to find a shut off is appreciated.

I have a kemmore refrigerator. Two weeks ago I got up, went in the kitchen, and was walking in water. I looked and the water dispenser was slowly running water. Fiddling with it did not slow or speed up the water. I finally turned the water line feed off. What happened? Can I fix it?

the back. We do not have hard water we have a culligan water softener/ filtration system to take care of that. The rust stains we think came from the water line? How do we remove these stains with out harming the porcelain inside the bowl. Thank you for any help with this.

My refidgerator has an automatic ice maker/dispenser and water dispenser. Should I throw out all of the ice and disconnect the water line to the refridgerator until the advisory is over? Also, do I need to clean the ice maker and water dispensor by running diluted bleach or something else through it? What do you do when you have boil advisories?

I’m completing the sale of my home tomorrow and of course need to take my fridge. it’s connected to the water line which we soldered in. so it’s not a saddle valve. Is there a small cap I can buy for that line so I can shut it off without having to turn off the water to the entire house?
