I’m in a pinch! I am trying to install a new tankless water heater, so I have my old tank removed and the cold valve coming in turned off. I turn back on my cold water to the house and everything is OK, but then after a bit water starts trickling out of the open hot water line. Anything I can do to get my cold water working for now? What’s causing this?

Sometimes it dispenses water, sometimes it doesn’t. There’s no distinguishable pattern as to when it works or when it doesn’t work. What could be the source of this problem? Additional note: the main water line that leads to the fridge is also split off to feed my automatic espresso machine. That machine never has problems with water. This leads me to believe that the problem has to be something specific to the fridge.
Thanks for your answers, everyone. The unit is a side-by-side Frigidaire model. I’ll update this post when I figure out what the problem is.

So we just bought a new fridge and hooked up the water line, I noticed in the water that there are little white particles floating in the water. Does anyone know what the cause of this is?

At the point where the water enters my home, there are no pressure adjustment valves. The pressure throughout our area is also low. I am thinking about adding a booster pump. Does anyone have experience with the addition of a booster pump to an existing city water line inside the house to raise the overall pressure?

I just purchased a home and noticed that the ice and water for my Kenmore refrigerator are not working. I checked all of the water lines to make sure they weren’t frozen. It still didn’t work. So I pulled the refrigerator out and unhooked the main water line behind it from the spout. If I turn the knob to the on position nothing comes out. Where would I go in my house to get water running to this?

I moved in this house 2 yrs ago and recently bought a new fridge to replace the old crappy 1970′s looking one that was here. It is a GE side by side with ice and water dispenser on door. I thought I would need a plumber to run the water line but when I pulled it out to clean back there I notced I do have a water spicket back there. Do I still need a plumber? I am paying the for the guys who move it in the hosue to hook it up but dont know if I need more then what is already there. What I saw was a square hole neatly cut into the wall behind fridge and a water spicket valve. Thanks!

We just bought a new refrig with a ice and water dispenser on the door. There already was a water line for this type of fridge in the house, when we hooked up the water line to the new fridge no water came out? Is there somewhere in the house or kitchen or basement we are supposed to be looking to find some type of valve or shut off? There is a T valve on the cooper water line behind the fridge but no water comes out of the water line? HELP!

Our toilets upstairs overflowed. The water line for the toilet was shut off for about 3.5 hours. The water throughout the house now is extremely low. The water valve on the toilet is back on and the toilet flushes. The water worked upstairs, but now it doesn’t flow more than a trickle out of any faucet. How do I get the water flow back through the faucets?

I have a water line around my pool. Can I clean the water line with vinegar and water without damaging my pool liner?

OK Maybe I am just dumb, but all i want is a water filter that connects to the water line that runs to my fridge. A copper wire runs from under the sink to the back of the fridge connects to a white tubing that feeds the water dispenser on the front of the fridge. I want to put a filter in between the copper and white tubing, but when I go to home depot or online there are like 1000 filters, i can not figure out what i need.

I installed a water line to the fridge, and the water coming from the water dispenser is very slow and the ice is being made at a very slow rate also. I have the water line coming up from the basement, as the fridge is on the opposite side of the kitchen from the sink.
I suspect the problem is from low water pressure. How do I measure the water pressure, and if I need a pump to increase the water pressure to the fridge, which one do I get, and where do I get one?
Any positive help or ideas are greatly appreciated.
The water filter in the fridge is brand new (as I just connected the water line) and the water pressure from the faucet is fine.

I just got a free refrigerator from the inlaws that was sitting in the garage.
And I know its gross, but some mice chewed on the water hose going to the refrigerator.
It was never hooked up to a water line while it was in there but I don’t feel comfortable just buying a new hose and filter and letting the water drain out for a couple minutes.
If there is some sanitizing method you can share with me then great! Think I should get a technician? Do I need one?
