Im very thin and Ive been told that the reason why im showing at 3-4 weeks is because of water retention, well what does "Water Retention" really mean? Is it true that it can cause me to show so early?

Hi, This is a stupid question. I want to know if i’m drinking too much water. I drink at least a gallon of water a day. I don’t realy exercise. i just don’t want to get sick from too much water. I feel bloated most of the time too so I thought might have something to do with water retention.? Is there such a thing as too much water? I don’t kep track of how much i drink. Most of it is in the moring though. If anyone has an idea on water and the body than thanks.

And what should I do?
I want to get more visible abs, and I’m doing a great job of getting the fat off. But I’ve heard that water retention is part of the reason abs don’t show up. So does that mean I should try and sweat out all the water? Any information you could share would be appreciated.

How does drinking MORE water reduce water retention???
I have what i think is water weight in my face and people always tell me to drink MORE water to get rid of the water retention,how is this so?

I drink a lot of coffee, but I also eat Lean Cuisines a few times a week, which have a lot of salt. I barely drink during the day, so I am probably dehydrated most of the time, but I feel bloated, which my doctor says could be due to salt intake. How much water should I drink a day to combat water retention? Will this reduce my bloating?

Got water retention from easter, but tomorrow at 4:30 i have a psychiatrist appointment and want to be my normal weight if possible, not bloated with like 6 pounds of water retention.
Last night i drank 4 cups of water. This morning i drank another 4, and plan to drink 12 more over the course of today. Im also exercising 1 hour this morning and 1 hour tomorrow morning. Any other tips?
