Can you drink the water from the water softener system? Will it be salty? Does the filteration system help with hard water? Any info will really help! Thanks!
I recently moved to a building where there is a water softener system and my face has become so dry and it’s even breaking out like crazy. Is there something I can do?
Ok, the house is 10 years old. We have a maytag plastic interior dishwasher. We have a 7 year old culligan water softener system,
The area has hard water but the water softener makes it softer.
The problem is we are seeing, powder residue on the dishes. We have tried that plastic booster but its coming back again.
1) Do we need a dishwasher with a stainless steel interior?
2) Do we need to turn the hot water up?
3) Clean the water softener? (Had water tested and its fine)
4) Any other ideas?
Help!!! Its driving our family nuts!
I’ve been looking for a water softener system for my new house. We’re getting about 24gpg here. I got quick quoted 00 for the 5600 Econominder 48K grain model from a local operation (walking door to door in our new neighborhood.) Looks like price on the system is about 0, so 00 for install is quite ridiculous, so maybe there’s a ton of room for negotiations. Either way, i was hoping to get some feedback on this system (vs Rayne, Culligan, etc.)
I’m looking into a Freije Easy Water softener system… it doesn’t use salt and there’s no plumbing necessary… basically just plug it in and no more waterspots or build up. Does anyone have experience with it?

I need to change the filters and Kinetico wants a lot of money to do it and won’t give me any answers.
I bought a water softener last year. I am getting calls from the company stating that it’s been a year and I need my filter replaced. Is this right? Does a filter need to be changed and a water softener system serviced EVERY year? Thanks!
We have a Kinetico water softener system (Mach 2060s) that uses a 20 inch by 2-1/2 inch filter, but I was wondering if somebody sells a granular activated carbon (GAC) filter that would work in this system, so we can filter out radon. I can’t find anything and would appreciate it if anyone had some insight into this… Thank you!
