Which whole house water filter is better ? GE or Omni ?
I have to choose GE GXWH35F from home depot or OMNI BF7 from Ace hardware to install on my 1" water supply line. The town water is yellowish in summer.
Which one should I installed ?

Anyone have experience w/ the whole house "ionizing " water softeners that clamp over the water supply line.
Really hard water, would like to treat the whole place.
Any recommendations from folks that have had success ( or not ) with them.
Thanks
Should have mentioned …have a small furnace room w/ no space for whole house unit that might require floor space. The ionizer type is the smallest I have seen & since there are just 2 people wondering if it might be a good option….thanks
This is a kitchen faucet with a pull out sprayer. One hole installation. The hose snapped away from sprayer and I’m trying to feed a new hose down to the water supply line, but it doesn’t seem to fit. When the old hose broke, it dropped through, under the sink, but I can’t get the new hose to drop down and they are the same size. Do I need to remove the entire faucet from the sink to feed the hose through?
The line leading to the water valve (solenoid) is pressurized on the back, but the water supply line to the ice maker is not pressurized. Also, the water dispenser is barely dripping out.
Does it sound like the water valve? (My fridge is only 2 years old.) If so, can I manually work the valves until the valve is replaced?
Thanks
There was some ice on the tube extension leading to the ice maker, and I got the out.
We have an expensive refrigerator water filter that needs replacing all the time, has anyone bypassed the factory filter and installed a basic cartridge filter in the water supply line?
