We have a Culligan water system only a couple years old. There are 2 pipes that go down into the drain behind the softener, 1 one them is way down so you can’t see when it drains. The other pipe is slanted that water flows through, but you can see the end of it, so you could actually move it from side to side if you needed to. That is the pipe that is continuously draining water, we can hear it, so it’s not a lot, enough to hear it though. Any suggestions on what this is and where it’s coming from. I done a regeneration on it last night, thinking it was the overflow, but it’s still happening today. Never noticed it before, but it could have been like that and actually normal.

We have well water and would like to hook up a water softner for the household water, but where we would like to set it up is in the pump house and that would be hooking it toall of our water system, including our yard, can water from a water softener hurt our grass and plants

I moved into this house 2 months ago. I live in town. The people who lived here, were only here for 3 yrs, then sold it to me. They have never put salt in the kenmore soft water system since they have been here. It is on. I am not sure what to do. Should I use it? would it make a difference in my water pressure as far as build-up? They really couldn’t give me any info on it.

Yesterday while grocery shopping at my local WalMart..I slipped and fell on the wet floor. They have a Culligan Water system that lets consumers fill their own containers, and someone left a trail of water from it.
The Coca Cola distributor was restocking the shelves and this happened right in front of him, and my daughter was also with me and witnessed it.
I fell on my behind but most of the fall was on my right hand, which is bruised and my wrist is very sore. I am a card dealer and use my hands constantly while at work.
I know with time the bruise will heal and the pain will subside, I’m just wondering if this happened to you, what would you do.

Please, this is serious, I am not joking and would appreciate serious answers. Thanks
I did file a report with the store manager..should have put that in to begin with.
The manager said he knew the water distributor was an ongoing problem and said they were going to put mats down.

we live in a small town with a HORRIBLE water system. some areas of town, the water is better than others, like my house isn’t too bad, but the office is horrible. my new tank is going in the office, and i don’t want to fill jugs of water and haul them, it would just be easier to get bottles from the store, so, my question is, should i use reverse osmosis water, drinking water, or purified water????? or should i just give them Culligan??? lol

our tap water is so bad that it’s almost brown. trust me, i need to use bottled water.

i do use aquasafe and also, Tetra Easy Balance.
we also, get salt creep from using out normal tap water – on freshwater tanks.

you have no idea how horrible our tap water is.

The shower has only been running cold for two days, and I have noticed the amount of water from the taps seems to be less too, so the water pressure problem seems to be sensible. How do I check the water pressure and increase it? Thank you!
The shower is not run from the hot water tank, it is an electric shower run from the cold water system, and it heats up the water in the shower unit. The hot water from the taps is fine.

If you fill a glass with water from my tap (well water) the water is crystal clear. When you let it sit for an hour or so it starts to yellow, and gets and oily film on top. If you let it continue to sit for more hours/overnight it gets filled with little orange balls of goo that float all around in it.

We already have water delivery because of the water being smelly and softened with a softener which the landlord claims is a "purification system" that "makes the water delicious" … well we never believed that one!!

So what can be making the water get so nasty after it sits around? He’s added more chemicals/salts to the water system, but it actually seems worse since he did that.
We don’t drink it, we don’t give it to the cats or fish, and we don’t water plants with it. It makes our heads scaly and skin dry, and turns all the bathroom fixtures orange. It is happening through the whole house.

i live in Philippines and they have no water system yet in my house, so i have the waters delivered and store them in a tank. Lately i noticed tiny particles in the water, think those particles are from the water and sediments accumulated.
What can i install in order to filter them out?
There is one pipe out of the over-head tank and that goes into the water system into the house.
I want to install system that be be fitted easily and ease of maintenance

I live in the middle of the Texas panhandle. My house is plumbed with well water. I am choosing to add either a water FILTER or water SOFTENER to my home water system.
What "system" is a water FILTER?
Does it filter out all the sediment, sand, minerals, etc to use for my indoor water?

My house WAS plumbed with a Kenmore water SOFTENER. Before it "gave up", it did soften all this sand, sediment and minerals that I am picking up from the Canadian river basin.

I am trying to clean my indoor water so that it will reduce the hard water wear on my indoor plumbing (faucets, valves, and piping.)

I can also hear the knocking in my neighbor’s water meter when the sprinker is on.
Water system people were here in the daytime and can not see anything wrong. We can only turn on sprinker after 8 PM. They told me that neighbor’ meter has been replaced and wish me luck.
