I live in the city and I am moving to the country real soon. I dont think it makes a difference, but I just want to be 100% sure. We will be using well water with a water softener for our household needs. I will still use water treatment before adding to my tank, just want to be sure there is not something I dont know about. Thank you.

My hair is really brittle and turning orange after relocating to FL and living in a home with artesian well water. Help!? What can I do?
Isn’t it funny the people who add lame comments to get points never have email or IM access………

my well water smells and tastes really bad. Also, when I run water in the tub, it looks "dirty". Looking for best fix for this that’s easy to maintain since I’m a widow and have to do all this myself. Thanks!

We are on well water, and have a filter on the well itself as well as where the water enters the house system. Lately we have noticed signs of heavy metals, specifically copper, as well as possible iron deposits in the drinking water. Does anyone know if there is any filter, whether it goes on the well, house. or sinks that will filter our heavy metals? Thanks!

I live in Florida and washing dishes and/or taking showers with well water take much longer because the water has that soapy feel and rinsing is a chore. I use bags of salts regularly to filter it…Any idea how to correct this problem?

My husband who has diabetes has been getting one bacterial infection after another. We found out our well water has nitrates and bacteria in it. Could there be a connection? Our landlord has made no attemps to put a filter on our well.

if i use this to water my flowers will it harm them? I used to have a pretty green thumb then we moved and our well water has arsenic in it. Since we’ve moved here, all of my plants die or just look like crap. Could it be because of the arsenic in my water?

I tried to fill up my pool with well water and the water became very dirty. There is still water pressure, just dirty water. How long should it take for the well to be usable again? Its a dug well, not sure how deep.
It actually isn’t a new well, its an old well. We just bought the house and had the well inspected with a water flow test and everything.

How effective is RO filter on well water with coliform bacteria?
If not…will UV filtration with RO filter help to eliminate them.
Is it advisable for a permenant hook up of RO filter in such case?

Our well water comes out of the faucet blueIsh in color and leaves stains on our tubs and toilets. I am curious what would cause it. The water has been tested and it is within safety standards.
