I have whirlpool water cooler model number WHKMD30. Is it possible to get the refrigerated compartment at the bottom to be cold? It get cool at times then not so cool then cool again. Is it possible to get this cool like an actual refrigerator and keep it at that cool temperature?
This is a 2 part question.
1. Any ratings on Whirlpool water softner sold by Lowes? They only have 2 models, one is 30,000 grains and the other is 45,0000 grains.
2. How to install in garage preplumbed with PVC in the wall. I bought it from Lowes and they sold me some flexible copper tubes to connect. But my garage has 2 pvc outlets for water softener which are 2ft lower than the top of water softener. Do I need any extentions to connect to bare PVC outlets? Bare meaning they are just pvc tubes closed with pvc caps. I don’t see any threads to attach the copper tubes sold by Lowes? How does this set up work? Thanks in advance.
Turns out this refrigerator is a Whirlpool and a phone call to them provided the answer. No, Pur makes no recyclable water filters but is developing one for the future. It’s a shame because it is a huge plastic cylinder. However, I will also call Waste Management to get their confirmation as our trash and recycle materials collector.
I have a Whirlpool stainless steel refrigerator and I replaced the water filter about 8 months ago, but I’m unable to remove the water filter since the cap of the filter has come out. Any suggestions as to how I can remove the filter?
My dad took out a refrigerator replacement water filter by Aqua Fresh with WF285 on it. It i is suppose to be compatible with whirlpool 4396508. However, the insertion parts on both in look different and he says the 4396508 does not fit properly, not matter what angle he inserts it in or how he turns it. Is there a different one that he should get, or is he he missing a step in the installation process?
Picked up a Whirlpool water cooler and the water has a extreme plastic taste. I have followed the instructions and cleaned the inside parts as instructed but it still tastes horrible.. How do I get rid of the plastic taste? Thanks
The Kenmore is 9.99 and the Whirlpool is 7 at Lowes. I don’t really want to spend more on a water softener and these seem to be the cheapest for decent brands. If you know of others in the price range that are good too, please share.

I bought a Whirlpool Gold water heater with dual anode rods, larger elements, and energy star. the heater was the most expensive 50 gallon that I saw there at 500 it has a 12 year warranty and I installed it myself. I figured that that would solve the problem but after two or three days my water began have a sulfuric smell again. I am wondering if it is my water softener it is a rented one from culligan and has been here since we got the house 9 years ago. we have had various issues with it and every time they come out spend 10 minutes charge 50 and say that it is fine. it is not consistent in putting out soft water, and uses 200-250 pounds of salt in a week to week and a half. I also have to clean a disgusting looking black sludge off of the side of th

I have a Whirlpool WHES40 water softener. After it regenerates there is air in the lines, and the water is still hard.
Any ideas how to fix this? it is just over a year old. Of course out of warranty.

My fridge is about a year old and has a water and ice dispenser. Although it has the dispenser, unfortunately I don’t/can’t use it because the water and ice taste horrible! I have not changed the filter in it yet because I figured that wasn’t the problem since the water and ice has tasted weird to me since the beginning. The filter that is in it is the filter that came with the fridge, so I don’t know if they put crappy filters in to begin with or if that doesn’t make a difference, but I really want to be able to have good tasting water and ice from my fridge. I took the filter out a few weeks ago to see what brand it was and it says "Pur" so I’m pretty sure they didn’t put a cheap filter in to begin with. I’m just confused as to why the water tastes so disgusting and I want it fixed. Does anybody have any ideas???
By the way, it’s a Whirlpool refrigerator, if that helps any.

line but the water dispensder doesn’t work. It makes no sound when I hit the button, but the ice
dispenser makes the noise…just its still making ice. But whats wrong with the water dispenser?
No noise and no dispensing? The water filter is in and and everything is connected I believe.

It’s a whirlpool side-by-side fridge and it looks like someone pushed the buttons so hard the pad surrounding the button cracked and now the buttons are exposed; looks unsightly. Can just the pad be replaced?
I have a 2 year old Whirlpool Gold side by side refrigerator with an ice and water dispenser. The water dispenser is not working. The lever that you push to get water feels loose, has no resistance when I push it and the motor does not run. The ice dispenser is working fine. Does anyone know where I should start to look to fix this problem? Thank you in advance for your time.
