Using the filter system for better quality water?
So I seriously think there’s something wrong with my neighborhood water, cause I’ve been running tests, and they’re not really great. I’ve added small tetras and clown loaches (I believe that’s how they are spelled) and they all died
, except for the regular fish I have in the tank, they are alive, well and eating normally… So I think they are just used to the water…
Like that PuR water contraption? I really want a solid way of doing this, instead of finding a place that has good water, but have to spend a boat load of money for it and trying to avoid using too many chemicals?
THANKS!
EDIT
I’ve been using water conditioning stuff, even the "natural bacterial conditioners" and nothing is working… that’s why I’m looking for filter systems.

You don’t need too many chemicals.
Get "Stress Coat" and/or "Tap Water Conditioner". Follow the instructions. Simple as pie.
Take a water sample to your pet store. They’ll do tests, and tell you how to correct your water.
Other tips:
New tanks (if it is new, you don’t mention, but it seems so) need to cycle. Loaches aren’t the best fish for that, neither are some tetras.
Try Mollys or Platys. They’re nearly indestructable, and will help cycle the tank.
Tropical aquariums need heat. Make sure you have a proper heater set at proper temps for your fish.
For freshwater tanks, most people use something called water conditioner. It’s used to remove chlorine and chloramines. It’s pretty cheap, and comes in bottles at Petsmart or Petco. An RO/DI unit, which completely purifies your water, is what people use for saltwater tanks. Problem is, they remove necessary vitamins and minerals from the water. With saltwater, these vitamins and minerals are put in the salt you buy, and when you mix the salt with the water, you replenish those vitamins and minerals. Not the case with freshwater. Did you remember to cycle your tank before adding fish? That could also be your problem. Look up how to cycle an aquarium if you didn’t. Btw, how big is your tank?
As the first person said, Stress Coat is also a conditioner. But make sure it’s Stress Coat+
