I agree with the others who said you have iron in your water.
From the sounds of it, you’d need reverse osmosis to be able to drink the water, and probably a whole-house purification system to take care of the dry skin.
It sounds like you are renting. You might want to call the water department and ask them to come and test your water. If it tests out bad you’ll have some ammo for your landlord for installing reverse osmosis or water purification systems.
It seems as if there is a lot of Iron in your water….
best result honestly, just buy jugs of water or replace pipes possibly if they are older.
Sounds like you have rust and your pipes have corroded if you have old iron pipes. If it happens on all of your taps then it’s probably coming from the main line coming into the house. If it’s just coming from one faucet then it is just that taps line.
i am thinking like trumpetg i think you have a lot of iron in your water.dont drink it .god only knows what that will do to you.
I have a similar problem. Is it the iron in the water that causes anything with choclate on it to turn black when our water hits it?
