You are trying to grow bacteria in the filter, and the nutrient levels are all out of whack. This lets bacteria, algae and diatoms multiply in the water, as well as the filter bacteria that you want. Leave the tank a bit longer and things should settle down. So, when you get home on friday, add three pinchfulls of fish food. The next morning, test the water, the ammonia and nitrites should be at zero, if they are not higher than 0 but lower than 1 ppm add 3 capfuls of stress zyme. If it is over 1 ppm then let the tank cycle for 3 more days, adding one pinch of food each day and test the water until the ammonia and nitrite are at zero. Then buy half of the fish that you want unless they are schooling fish then buy all of them. Float them for 20 min then add them to the tank. Once they are in add 4 capfuls of stress zyme. Keep testing your water and if it gets over 1 ppm add stress zyme. If you have any more questions feel free to ask me.
