What is the best water filter pitcher for the lowest possible price?

So i’m a college student with a small budget but i hate the tap water where i live. i wanna buy a water filter like the pitcher ones but i wanna know what’s best. I just bought one of the cheap Pur brand ones thats like 15$. I haven’t tried it yet but is this a good one or really just a rip off? Again what is the best if not this one?

Pur is good
I have one of those.
Pur and Brita pitchers are great - both have expensive filter replacements but you can stretch them out for 6 months, especially for just you.
