What should I add to the water in a kiddie pool to use it for a few days instead of only once?
The manufacturer recommends using the water for only one day. I’m especially concerned because we use it for our five month old baby. We don’t let him drink the water but he does splash around a lot. We’ve been emptying the pool water on the lawn and decorative garden so I’d like to avoid adding lots of chlorine or salt or anything that would kill plants, or just dumping all the water down the drain.

your 5 month old is worth new water every time
water is cheap—–babies are precious
pee in it (seriously)
Go find a camping store or an organic grocery store and look for water purifiers. and since the kid isnt drinking the water you probaly dont have to worry to much about having the full amount of the product for the size of the pool
Most definitely baby’s are precious! i wouldn’t add anything to it! no reason to take chances. maybe find other uses for the water. do you have inside plants? maybe you could recycle it for them or some other plants you may have outside. if no plants out side then Friday is National Arbor Day! would be an awesome time to plants some plants to give the water to! Good Luck!
