What type of water should i use for my betta’s tank?Distilled or drinking water?
I get a lot of MIXED answers about this, some people prefer using distilled some people prefer using regular bottle drinking water,i personally use distilled because most pet store employees and people in general tell me i should use it,but what is really more halter for my betta distilled water or drinking water(not tap)bottled?
Which is more healthier and safer for my betta?Distilled water or purified drinking water (bottled)?

Distilled water is RUBBISH for fish, the distilling process gets rid most of the good minerals in the water the fish need. Not recommended.
Bottled water is variable, what source is that water coming from? Some bottled water’s chemistry can really fluctuate. Which is why most people use dechlorinated tap water, mains water should be a constant in terms of chemistry and should be well monitored by your local water board. If you don’t have access to this you’ll need to test any bottled water before it’s suitable, some can have weird additives, others have very varying things like pH.
As long as you dechlorinate the water, it doesn’t matter.
If you live in an area where the tap water is of poor quality, you should probably go with distilled.
You can use either, however if your tap water has extremely high levels of nitrate or phosphate and/or TDS (total dissolved solids) then I would look into using purified or distilled water.
I’ve always just used a water conditioner–a dechlorinator
You can use whatever the hell kind of water you want, preferably clean though. Make sure that you add a Water Conditioner:

This way all chlorines, chloramines and other heavy metals will be taken out of the water. Remember, if it can be drunk, its not good for fish. Even if its not chlorinated it will still need Water Conditioner.
I would just use tap water. Use whatever the pet store employees tell you to. They know best. Also, drop in a few drops of Aqua Safe. Good luck!
you should use tap water that has been treated with water conditioner. you can buy it at any pet store or Walmart. don’t use distilled because the betta can benefit from the minerals present in tap water.
I would say distilled water is better if you leave it out in the air for a while. Then you can add in your fish. Or put in water conditioner.
I’ve used spring water. it still has some mineral content. Mostly I just use treated tap water. But if you want to use bottled water, try spring water, not distilled. No minerals.
