Purified water is water from any source that is physically processed to remove impurities. Distilled water and deionized water have been the most common forms of purified water, but water can also be purified by other processes including reverse osmosis, carbon filtration, microporous filtration, ultrafiltration, ultraviolet oxidation, or electrodialysis. In recent decades, a combination of the above processes have come into use to produce water of such high purity that its trace contaminants are measured in parts per billion (ppb) or parts per trillion (ppt). Purified water has many uses, largely in science and engineering laboratories and industries, and is produced in a range of purities.
Yes, distilled water is the cleanest one.. But we should not drink it because it does not have any minerals in it!
Distilled water is purified water. Spring water has many minerals disolved into it. Most spring water is free of bacteria but loaded with minerals.
Distilled water:
Water is boiled, steam is channeled and cooled. The cooled vapor becomes liquid and trickles into container.
Another method of purifying water is a reverse osmosis filter. The pores are so small, that only water molecules, or molecules the size of water, can get through. Then the water is passed through activated charcoal to adsorb the rest of the impurities.
The cleanest, most pure water is de-ionized water. This is so pure, that the water is corrosive and harmful when consumed for long periods.
