Open the cabinet doors under the sink so that warm air from the house can get under there. This will help warm the pipes that are in the wall behind the cabinet.
You could also set up an electric space heater in the kitchen to put some additional heat towards the wall under the sink. Be careful with space heaters.
You could also just wait until the weather warms up outside.
quick blow dryer…on the cold water line
Yeah, sounds like your cold water line is frozen. Plumber can’t do anything. Just bring a bucket of cold water from the bathroom in when you do dishes and wait until it warms up.
Your pipes are probably frozen.
If you have an outdoor gas or propane BBQ, wheel it against the outside wall.
Turn on the cold water and leave it on.
Turn "on" the BBQ, for about an hour, check it, if water is still not running then wait and check it every half hour.
Make sure the burners are on "High".
Open the cold water faucet and leave it open.Heat the cold water pipe under the sink with a blow drier or heat gun. It may take while but it’s safer than using a blow torch. Once the pipe is thawed, leave the cabnet doors open to let the heat from the room in to the pipes. To HELP prevent this from happaning again, insulate both pipes.
